For anyone who has not heard of them: On the Tools is the largest Online Construction Community in the UK. Founded in August 2014 by two school friends (one in the building in trade and one with a love of tech) they had the idea of solving the Construction Industry’s recruitment problems with a new App. Whilst creating the App the On the Tools Facebook page was created to give the brand some exposure. Since then the company has seen huge Social growth amassing over 3.3 Million followers across all social channels. In 2018, On The Tools achieved more than 2 Billion video views on its Facebook channel including more than 120 Million for their commercial clients. On the Tools has become the number one place for Tradespeople to air their views, watch videos, read articles and share their content.
In 2017, CEO Lee Wilcox was named the Great British Entrepreneur for the Midlands region, which was a massive accolade and real validation of the impact that On The Tools has made in terms of becoming a disruptive and creative social first marketing agency and also in recognition of the development and support of an engaged and vibrant construction-based community.
Last year On The Tools managed to win the People's Choice Award as part of 'Pitch@Palace' an entrepreneurship initiative developed by HRH The Duke of York and held at Buckingham Palace.
Earlier this year OTT CEO Lee Wilcox was listed in the Sunday Times/Maserati 100, which recognizes game-changing entrepreneurs who are disrupting the business world. Further validation of the impact that On The Tools has had on UK Construction in a relatively short space of time.
Award winners will be announced at the Gala Dinner on the 15th November 2019 to be held at Edgbaston Cricket Ground. There are 28 categories for awards.
The On the Tools Awards will be promoted through all of the brand’s social channels, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter which offers a current total following of more than 3.3 Million. Last year’s activity offered massive exposure for category sponsors, with an average reach of more than 1 Million. As well as this, the On the Tools Awards will be promoted through a highly targeted paid social campaign across Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn.
Attended by over 400 industry professionals the awards have a growing public reputation across social media. All award nominees go through a comprehensive judging process, and are voted by the On The Tools social network.
